Now I work at a hotel where I see numerous amounts of new people daily, now the hotel that I work at happens to be the worst kept Holiday Inn anyone will ever see. Everything in the hotel is broken, we have a permanant leak in the kitchen from a coffee machine that wastes enough water to bath several small families and on top of that our GM has a degree in history from Duke, which does not qualify him at all to run a business and it shows. With all of that said the phrase "you get what you pay for" comes to mind. Cheap supplies, cheap staff, cheap GM. Now you may wonder...what type of customers would come to this hotel?!!? After working their for a while I came to the conclusion that some of the wierdest people I have ever met. So naturally I compare my experiences at the hotel that I work at with possible normal situations at a "normal" hotel. Then I realize that there is honestly no way to measure what "normal" is. Something/one can be boring, uneventful, or reserved, but what is normal???
Definition:
conforming to the standard or the common type; usual; not abnormal; regular; natural.
Note the key words in the definition...standard....common...usual. But you can throw those words in the same category with normal, AND in the same category with words that should not be used to describe individuals, because people are all INDIVIDUALS. So I will bring a challenge to you readers...to explain to me what normal is.
